The Darwin Poems has been shortlisted for the ALS Gold Medal, the Mary Gilmore Poetry Prize, the NSW Premier’s Award, and awarded the Wesley Michel Wright Prize for Poetry 2010, and highly commended in the Anne Elder Award.
Emily will be reading in Glasgow on June 6th at Words Per Minute. 4-6 p.m. Creation Studios, 16 Trongate.
August 11, The Arvon Foundation, Moniack Mhor, Inverness, Scotland, guest reader in the Poetry Course led by Jo Shapcott and John Glenday. This course is fully booked.

February 12th– Emily read two poems at the Natural History Museum’s Bicentenary birthday evening in London.
February 26th–Emily read at the cocktail reception following a one-day Colloquium ‘Charles Darwin in Europe’, at Christ’s College, Cambridge University.
April 1st–Publication of The Darwin Poems.
May 18th-24th–Emily was in Sydney, Australia launching The Darwin Poems and talking at the Sydney Writers’ Festival. ]
May 28th–Emily’s UK launch of The Darwin Poems was at Clare Hall, Cambridge.
June 17th–Emily gave a reading from The Darwin Poems at The Golden Hour in Edinburgh. The Forest Cafe, 8 p.m. Free (BYOB)
July 15th–Christ’s College Old Library Garden Party (Cambridge), including a tour of Darwin’s old student rooms (lovingly recreated to period) and a reading from The Darwin Poems.
